Women's Seminar & Social
Tuesday, January 23, 2024 (5:00 PM - 7:00 PM) (EST)
Description
RESCHEDULED New Date Tuesday, January 23rd.
Join us at the Sheraton Chapel Hill Hotel on Tuesday, January 23 for a two-part event to connect with fellow women of The Chamber.
Part 1: Professional Development Seminar with Bell Leadership
From 3-5 p.m. we'll be hosting a Bell Leadership seminar in the Carolina Room at the Sheraton Chapel Hill lead by Susan Gisler. Susan will speak on Leading with Intention – Shifting from Chaos to Clarity
Program Description:
A coffee spill, a text from a frustrated colleague, a family emergency, and traffic when you're already running behind - all before you’ve sat down for your first morning meeting! Our ability to solve problems effectively is a key predictor of our overall success and happiness. And problems are guaranteed to come our way every day, so we might as well get really good at solving them!
This session will offer a framework to tackle problems with efficiency – allowing you to spend more of your time on the priorities that matter most to you. You’ll learn how to not only be calm in the face of obstacles, but also how to spread calm to others, ultimately encouraging deeper thinking and yielding better solutions for all. During the session, you will have the opportunity to develop an action plan to help shift out of the chaos and into clarity for addressing the problems that you face as a leader every day.
Objectives/Outcomes:
• Practical strategies to maintain calm and spread calm when we encounter roadblocks
• Increased self-awareness about how we currently solve problems
• Identification of 1-2 key behaviors you want to build to improve your approach to solving problems
Part 2: The Women of The Chamber Quarterly Networking Social
Following the workshop we'll roll directly into our quarterly gathering and social from 5-7 p.m. hosted by Martina Brooks and her team at The Sheraton Chapel Hill.
This event will feature a delicious spread of heavy hors d'oeuvres and drinks provided by our host sponsors from the Sheraton.
You can choose to come to either of both of these back to back women's programs.
