Join us Wednesday, September 16th at 4:00 PM as we celebrate the grand opening of Chapel Hill's first Entertainment District with a ribbon-cutting at University Place. Our motto, "Sip. Stroll. Socialize.," captures what this new district is all about: giving neighbors a relaxed, walkable space to connect over great food, curated live music, and community-driven events throughout the year — including several tied to local nonprofit giving. Barnes & Noble is also celebrating its Grand Opening that day, with local authors and activities running throughout the afternoon, so guests can stroll over after the ribbon-cutting to join in.
University Place is Chapel Hill's premier outdoor lifestyle and retail destination, home to 18 restaurants, shops, and service providers along South Estes Drive. Since 1965, the property has served as a community gathering place, and today it's evolving into an even more dynamic hub for connection, culture, and local commerce. Managed by JLL on behalf of RAM Realty Advisors, University Place is committed to creating spaces — and moments — where Chapel Hill comes together.
