Join us Wednesday, September 16th at 4:00 PM as we celebrate the grand opening of Chapel Hill's first Entertainment District with a ribbon-cutting at University Place. Our motto, "Sip. Stroll. Socialize.," captures what this new district is all about: giving neighbors a relaxed, walkable space to connect over great food, curated live music, and community-driven events throughout the year — including several tied to local nonprofit giving. Barnes & Noble is also celebrating its Grand Opening that day, with local authors and activities running throughout the afternoon, so guests can stroll over after the ribbon-cutting to join in.

Since 1965, the property has served as a community gathering place, and today it's evolving into an even more dynamic hub for connection, culture, and local commerce.
