Local Government Appreciation Reception

Thursday, December 15, 2022 (5:00 PM - 7:00 PM) (EST)

Description

Local Government Appreciation Reception

Read the summary of accomplishments of our municipal, state, and federal officials in 2022

What: The Local Government Appreciation Reception

Why: The Chamber Board of Directors, Major Investors, and Government Affairs Committee host this annual reception to share our appreciation of our elected and senior government officials who work so thoughtfully for our community throughout the year.

Who: The guests of honor include elected officials representing our community at the local, state, and national level as well as senior government officials serving our community. In addition, Inter-City Visit (ICV 2022) Delegates are encouraged to join the celebration.

When: Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Where: Sheraton Chapel Hill Hotel, One Europa Drive, Chapel Hill, NC 27517 (Blue Hill Ballroom free parking in the adjoining lot)

How: The reception will feature refreshments and hors d'oeuvres and include remarks from Chamber and community leaders. This event is free to attend and open to the public, but space is limited and registration is required. Register now.

Contact: For questions about event logistics, contact McKenzie Steagall at (443) 907-5476 (m).

Note re: Salute to Community Heroes: In the past, the Local Government Appreciation Reception preceded Salute to Community Heroes, which was a ceremony to honor outstanding first responders and other community leaders. This year, the Community Heroes were honored on the court during a UNC Basketball game on Tuesday, December 13 at 7pm, rather than at the Sheraton Reception. Carolina Athletics graciously made discounted tickets available for Chamber members and friends.
