ICV 2022 - Opening Reception
Monday, October 24, 2022 (5:30 PM - 7:00 PM) (EDT)
Description
What: Inter-City Visit and Leadership Conference (ICV 2022) Opening Reception
Presented by: MHAworks
When: Monday, October 24, 2022 from 5:30pm-7:00pm
Where: North Carolina Governor's Western Residence
Why: This evening reception is an opportunity for business, government, nonprofit, university, and faith leaders from Greater Chapel Hill-Carrboro and Asheville to connect over music and hors d'oeuvres and build relationships. The event will include welcome remarks from the Mayor of Asheville, Chair of the Buncombe County Commissioners, and Chair of the Asheville Chamber, and serve as the celebratory kickoff event for the ICV 2022.
About the location: The Governor's Western Residence in Asheville is tucked away atop Town Mountain, so few visitors and many locals don't even know it's there. The estate is open for public tours during the Holiday Open House, usually held the first weekend in December. The Governor and his family visit occasionally.
About ICV 2022: The Inter-City Visit and Leadership Conference (ICV 2022) is a three-day biennial experience for a delegation of ~75 business, government, nonprofit, university, and faith leaders from Greater Chapel Hill-Carrboro to learn from the experiences of another community, 2) better understand our own community assets, and 3) build relationships among each other to help us address our local challenges. Learn about the ten learning objectives for the ICV 2022.
