A series of seasonal demonstration cooking classes from former instructors and managers of Southern Season Cooking School. Chefs Ellen, Kim, Stefanie and Leslie are back together to reminisce about their time at Southern Season and share their favorite dishes with you!

For those of you who don’t know, Southern Season is a specialty grocery store that was founded in 1975 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Southern Season became synonymous with exceptional customer service. From its knowledgeable staff to its beautiful store ambiance, the experience was nothing short of top-notch. The store offered upscale shopping, a restaurant, coffee shop, tea shop, deli, cheese shop, beer and wine shop, a restaurant, AND a cooking school, which created an unparalleled destination shopping experience for its customers. After 44 years at University Place Mall, the store sadly came to a close in January 2020. Despite its physical closure, it still runs a successful online store that extends its reach beyond North Carolina.

Chefs Ellen and Kim were each Managers of the Cooking School at Southern Season. Stefanie was an Assistant Manager, Instructor and Lead and Leslie (the owner of The Travelling Cafe) was a Lead and Instructor.

You’re sure to have a fun time with these ladies as you experience the food and atmosphere that is Southern Season! Secure your tickets now before it’s too late!
