What: The Inter-City Visit and Leadership Conference (ICV) 2024
When: Sunday, Sept. 15, 2024 through Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024
Where: Ann Arbor, Michigan
Who: All local business, government, community, education, and non-profit leaders are invited to participate as delegates.
Why: Benchmark our region against a peer community, learn new strategies to address challenges, and deepen collaboration among public and private sector leaders.
Learning Objectives: The 2024 Inter-City Visit to Ann Arbor will focus on -
- Increasing Affordable Housing
- Downtown Development and Redevelopment
- Enhancing Economic Development through Innovation and Business Attraction/Retention
- Strengthening Resiliency and Elevating Climate Action
History: The Chamber for a Greater Chapel Hill-Carrboro and its Partnership for a Sustainable Community coordinate the biennial ICV for a delegation of 75-100 local leaders. Over the last 30 years, we have visited Asheville (NC), Greenville (SC), Madison (WI), Bloomington (IN), Boulder (CO), Athens (GA), Lexington (KY), Lawrence (KS) and organized a previous trip to Ann Arbor in 2008.
