Drag Bingo benefitting iNSIDEoUT, a special event coordinated by the Leadership Class of 2022

What: Drag Bingo hosted by the Leadership Chapel Hill-Carrboro Class of 2022

Why: To benefit iNSIDEoUT, a youth-led organization serving the LGBTQ+ youth of the Triangle. iNSIDEoUT provides resources and programming such as a library, hangouts, and a queer prom, giving these kids places where they can safely and authentically be themselves.

When: Wednesday, August 17th from 5:30pm-9:00pm

Where: Graduate Chapel Hill, 311 W. Franklin St, Chapel Hill, NC 27516. Paid parking is available along Franklin Street and in the Mallette Street Lot, which is located behind the hotel at 106 Mallette Street.  

How: Tickets to this special event are $60 each or $100 for a pair and include hors d'oeuvres, one drink ticket, one bingo card, and a swag bag. This event is open to all ages 13 and up. Those under 21 will receive an extra bingo card in lieu of a drink ticket. The event will likely sell-out so purchase your ticket(s) now. If any tickets remain, they will be available for purchase at the door. Purchase tickets now.

About the event: Each bingo round will be hosted by Drag Queens and will feature a special donated prize for the winner of each round. Additional Bingo cards will be available for $10 each. Prize packs include:  

  • A one-night stay at The Carolina Inn,
  • Two tickets to see Frozen at The DPAC, 
  • A one-night stay at The Graduate Hotel, 
  • Private Swim Party at Goldfish Chapel Hill,
  • A one-night stay at the Umstead Hotel with breakfast for two at Heron's, 
  • A two-month unlimited membership at Spenga, and 
  • A one-night stay at The Colonial Inn in historic downtown Hillsborough. 

Sponsorship: This event would not be possible without the financial and/or in-kind support from several sponsors, including Cappy Hagman Real Estate Group and Graduate Chapel Hill. Additional sponsorship opportunities are available in $100, $300, $600, and $1,000 levels. Each sponsorship level has benefits and sponsors at the $300 level and up receive two complimentary event tickets. Donations: In addition to purchasing event tickets, all are invited to make a tax-deductible donation to the cause. Donations are being collected and processed through The Chamber's nonprofit affiliate, The Partnership for a Sustainable Community, and one grand total check will be given to iNSIDEoUT after the event. Please make an online donation now or send a check made out to The Partnership for a Sustainable Community noting "iNSIDEoUT Donation" to The Chamber For a Greater Chapel Hill-Carrboro, 104 S. Estes Drive, Chapel Hill, NC 27514.

About Leadership: Leadership Chapel Hill-Carrboro is an extensive annual program designed to inform, develop, connect, and engage committed and emerging leaders in Greater Chapel Hill-Carrboro.

About Small Miracles: The Leadership 2022 cohort is coordinating a Small Miracle, which is a group project to implement a fundraising plant and meet the organizational need(s) of a local charity that was collectively selected by the cohort.
