What: Covid Forum | What Employers Need to Know about Covid Vaccines, Testing, and the Path to Recovery

Why: The purpose of this forum is to provide timely, relevant information for the local business community as it relates to the Covid response and recovery effort. 

About: The Covid Forum presented by 97.9 The Hill & Chapelboro.com, Duke Energy, and Durham Technical Community College is the first of ten forums in the 2021 Critical Issues Series. The Covid Forum will address what employers need to know right now as it relates vaccines, testing, and employment law - and - what employers need to know about the path ahead as it relates to long-term recovery and their business continuity planning.

When: Thursday, Feb 25, 2021 from 8:30-10am.

8:30am - 8:45am: Welcome from Sponsors and Special Guest Dr. Amy Fowler, Orange County Commissioner

8:45am – 9:35am: Segment 1 - What Employers Need to Know Right Now (i.e. Covid vaccines, testing, and employment law) 

9:35am – 9:55am: Segment 2 - What Employers Need to Know About the Path Ahead” (i.e. long-term recovery planning and business continuity) 

9:55am – 10:00am: Closing


About the Critical Issues Series: The 2021 Critical Issues Series (formerly known as the Policy Series) is coordinated by The Chamber For a Greater Chapel Hill-Carrboro and presented by 97.9 The Hill & Chapelboro.com, Duke Energy, and Durham Technical Community College. The series features nearly a dozen forums with influential guest speakers who address timely topics for Orange County related to the local and regional economic development, public policy, the economy, and elections.
