About
Kidzu Children's Museum is founded on the premise that early learning experiences are critical to later life success, and that young children learn best through doing, particularly through play. The museum offers hands-on exhibits, programs, field trips, caregiver education and outreach programs to ensure that Kidzu's services are available to all children in the community, including those in need. ''Pay What You Can Sunday'' is offered monthly. Kidzu collaborates with the educational and creative experts of our region, including dozens of community and academic partners. Support for Kidzu is a direct investment in critical early learning, fostering 21st Century skills necessary for success in the adult world. The children we serve today are the workforce of tomorrow! At Kidzu, children from infants to tweens engage in imaginative, open-ended play experiences combined with learning objectives in arts education, emerging literacy, health and wellness, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). Kidzu serves over 100,000 visitors annually at our Launch Pad at University Mall, a prototyping facility to plan for a permanent museum. Family and Corporate Memberships, exhibit and program sponsorships are available. Exhibits include Farm To Fork, Spin Zone, The Makery, Build Guild, Book Nook, Forest Theater, a Treehouse Climber, Climbing Wall and Caregiver Courtyard. Exhibit elements include exciting signature pieces and creations by local artists also well known throughout the US. The museum provides a whimsical atmosphere for birthday or other private parties, seminars, luncheons and special events.
