Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill is celebrating the 35th anniversary of opening their doors to families battling childhood illness on April 20 at 101 Old Mason Farm Rd in Chapel Hill. The celebration will kick off at 4:30 pm with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony followed by the Business After Hours in the courtyard gardens featuring wine, beer, hors d’oeuvres, and an opportunity to tour the 44,000 sq. ft. campus. 

Our Story 

Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill is a 501c3 non-profit that provides a “home-away-from-home” to families who must travel from across the state to Chapel Hill for specialized medical care for their seriously ill or injured children. RMHCH provides all the comforts of home one mile away from UNC Children’s Hospital. When families stay at RMHCH they are provided with a private hotel style room with private bathroom, daily continental breakfast and home cooked dinners, laundry facilities, playrooms, family support activities such as therapy dog visits, Reiki, arts & crafts, and so much more. All of these services are provided to guest families at no personal cost to the family. The House caters to the needs of the entire family thanks to the unwavering support of the Chapel Hill and broader Triangle communities.
