Emergency Grant Funds For Local Enterprises Available
New Carrboro Grants for Local Enterprises (up to $10,000) – Deadline November 19 (5:00pm)
The Town of Carrboro’s new COVID-19 Mitigation Business Grant Program opened for applications yesterday. To qualify, you must be a business (for-profit) or a social business (a mission driven organization where the revenue is derived from the buying and selling of goods and services) that is headquartered (homed) in Carrboro, have experienced negative economic impacts from COVID-19, have been conducting business prior to July 1, 2020, and must retain the same number of full-time equivalent employees for 6-months.

New Chapel Hill Grants (up to $5,000) – Deadline November 14 (11:59pm)
The Town of Chapel Hill’s ReVive Recovery Grant Program is open with three grant opportunities: 1) Micro Grants (up to $1,000 to support business ideas that lead to enterprise creation and growth), 2) Entrepreneur Grants (up to $1,500 to support entrepreneurs who are on a path toward creating a successful enterprise), and 3) Small Business Grants (up to $5,000 to support existing Chapel Hill enterprises and help them continue to grow through the pandemic). Grants applications will be accepted based on the likelihood of success and the strength of idea and proposal. Priority will be given to women-owned, minority-owned, and locally owned enterprises.

Orange County Grants (up to $10,000) – Deadline December 31 (5:00pm)
Orange County Government Business Investment Grant Program is open for applications. The purpose of this county grant program is to stimulate successful business investment, development, and expansion in Orange County. Enterprises must be located in Orange County, NC. The small grants ($1,500) have a simplified application while the large grants (up to $10,000) require additional financial information and documentation. Also, the Agriculture Economic Development Grant is open (up to $10,000 grants) to develop new sources of agricultural income. Applicants must be able to demonstrate that their operation is a verifiable farm business.
