2020 Policy Series: Regional Economic Development Forum
Our Place in the Region
What: Regional Economic Development Forum presented by the Research Triangle Foundation
About the Forum: ”Our Place in the Region” is the third of five forums as part of the 2020 Policy Series. The purpose of this forum is to provide an economic development update and do so with a regional focus and forward-thinking approach.
Flow: We will hear from a half-dozen leaders as we consider our place in the region, essential industry and infrastructure opportunities and challenges before us, and key projects underway in our own backyard. The forum will include three discussion segments:
- Segment 1: "Our Place in the Region" - Featuring Scott Levitan, RTP President and CEO, who will share the RTP vision to bring the region together and a prescription for success.
- Segment 2: "Our Industries and Infrastructure" - Featuring leaders from academia, health care, and transit, who will speak to current initiatives, their impact on the region, and our opportunities and challenges ahead.
- Segment 3: Our Own Backyard - Featuring elected officials and economic development leaders from Orange County, Chatham County, Chapel Hill, and Carrboro, who will share key project updates.
