13th Annual Carolina Women in Business Conference
The Annual Carolina Women in Business Conference provides workshops, distinguished keynote speakers, and panel discussions to several hundred individuals. Conference attendees include faculty, staff, students, alumni and business professionals from the surrounding community. This year’s conference theme, “Breaking Barriers”, is centered around how women have achieved career success in the face of adversity across distinct industries. While the number of women holding corporate officer positions and board seats at Fortune 500 companies has increased over recent years, women still remain significantly underrepresented in corporate leadership. The Carolina Women in Business Conference is one of the most successful student-run events at UNC Kenan-Flagler and serves as a powerful forum from which to learn, share, and inspire one another.
