Call for Nominations: 2023 CBA Leadership Council and Committees
Dear Carrboro Business Alliance (CBA) Members,
It is now time to nominate yourself and other CBA members for a volunteer position on the CBA Leadership Council and/or the three CBA Committees.
The Carrboro Business Alliance (CBA), founded in 2014 on the shared belief that "local matters," is now more than 100 local Carrboro-serving enterprises collaborating to help Carrboro thrive.
The CBA is governed by the Leadership Council and activated through three committees. Learn more about the CBA Leadership Council and Committees. Review the current rosters and scroll down for a summary.
- CBA Leadership Council: The CBA Leadership Council convenes monthly (third Tuesday of the month from 8:15am-9:30am by zoom) to ensure the CBA delivers on its three-part mission: 1) Connect members with information, customers, and other enterprises; 2) Represent the local business interests with policymakers; and 3) Promote members and the Carrboro community. The CBA Leadership Council acts as a board of directors and is powered with administrative support from The Chamber for a Greater Chapel Hill-Carrboro.
- CBA Marketing Committee: The CBA Marketing Committee convenes monthly (fourth Tuesday of the month from 2-3pm by zoom) to develop public messaging, implement strategic communications and marketing, and bring the CBA brand to life. Carrboro Cheer is a signature annual #BuyLocal holiday program of the CBA.
- CBA Policy Committee: The CBA Policy Committee convenes monthly (second Tuesday of the month from 4-5pm by zoom) to develop the policy platform and advocate for matters that matter to the local business community.
- CBA Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Committee: The CBA DEIB Committee convenes monthly (first Tuesday of the month from 4-5pm by zoom) to increase awareness of and foster learning and personal growth in members. Committee members take turns preparing for and facilitating the meetings.
