Carrboro Business Alliance News

The Carrboro Business Alliance (CBA), founded in 2014 on the shared belief that "local matters," is now more than 100 local businesses collaborating to help Carrboro thrive. The CBA is governed by an active Leadership Council and two committees, and all members are Carrboro-serving enterprises.

Marketing Committee Update

Local Carrboro businesses are sharing their #CarrboroLove this month. The love fest is part of @ForTheLoveofCarrboro, an annual tradition in February to celebrate all that makes Carrboro a great place to live, learn, work, play, and visit.

“We want to take this opportunity to show and share our love of Carrboro and for all the people who make up this wonderful community – you continue to support us through this ongoing pandemic and we are grateful,” said Bridget Pemberton-Smith, chair of the Carrboro Business Alliance Marketing Committee and executive director of the Art Therapy Institute.

Policy Committee Update

Last week, the Policy Committee shared six timely updates to CBA members to provide an inside look on the OWASA work, a survey underway, new representatives, and #CarrboroLove.

  1. OWASA began their 5-month East Main Street Sewer Rehabilitation Project on the evening of February 11.
  2. Action request for all Carrboro employers: If you haven’t yet, please respond to The Chamber’s Economic Conditions Survey
  3. Show your love of Carrboro this February by using #CarrboroLove.
  4. Get to know your 2022 CBA Leadership Council and Committee representatives.
  5. Learn more about the recently re-elected and newly-elected Carrboro Mayor and Town Council Members.
  6. Follow the CBA on social media.
