Resolve to Get Involved in 2021
Three ways you can make a positive difference in our community this year
There is something deeply satisfying with putting your skills in service for the betterment of the community, and good news: our community is calling you!
The Towns of Chapel Hill, Carrboro, and Hillsborough, as well as Orange and Chatham Counties are seeking volunteers to serve on local advisory boards and commissions.
Some interesting opportunities right now include but are not limited to Chapel Hill's Community Design Commission, Carrboro's Planning Board, Hillsborough's Tourism Board, Orange County's Economic Development Advisory Board, and Chatham Counties' Climate Change Advisory Committee.
Volunteering to serving on local advisory board is just one of three important ways you can get involved in our community with the Chamber this year. You can also resolve to get more informed this year by reviewing our Chamber's policy positions and attending our events, and make your voice heard by speaking at public hearings and contacting decision-makers. Local elected officials and members of the media need to hear the local business perspective on issues, and the Chamber is eager to work with you to make this happen.
