Election season 2019 is underway and the Carrboro Business Alliance Leadership Council and Policy Committee are working hard to ensure, before you go to the polls, that you have the important information you need. Below is a summary of the candidates and their positions on matters that matter to local business and our community.
- What: General Election 2019
- When: Election Day is Tuesday, Nov 5, 2019; early, in-person voting began Wednesday, Oct. 16th (review the 2019 election calendar)
- Who: Seven candidates filed to run for four elected positions in the Town of Carrboro (Mayor: 1 seat/1 candidate, Alderman: 3 seats/6 candidates). The following candidates filed (see the contact information for those who filed)
- Susan S. Romain for Alderman
- Steve Friedman for Alderman
- Matthew P. Clements for Alderman
- Damon Seils for Alderman
- Matt Neal for Alderman (withdrew)
- Sammy Slade for Alderman
- Lydia E. Lavelle for Mayor
- How: Carrboro Business Alliance offers three ways to engage with candidates:
