Chamber ANNOUNCES WINNERS for the 2016 Business Excellence Awards
 
Chapel Hill, NC – On Friday, May 13, the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce announced the winners of the second annual Business Excellence Awards (the BEAs) at a red carpet affair at the Center for the Dramatic Art, home of PlayMakers Repertory Company, with nearly 300 in attendance.
 
The winners for the Business Excellence Awards are:

New Business of the Year: Silverspot Cinema
 
Innovation Award: Seal the Seasons
 
Community Impact: Club Nova Community, Inc.
 
University Born Business: Sweeps
 
Micro-Enterprise of the Year (0-5 employees): Balloons & Tunes
 
Mid-Size Business of the Year (6-50 employees) presented by Bank of North Carolina: DSI Comedy Theater

Large Business of the Year (51+ employees) presented by SunTrust: The Carolina Inn
 
Non-Profit of the Year presented by Triangle Community Foundation: TABLE
 
Business Woman of the Year: Sharon Hill, Sharon Hill International
 
CHYP Young Professional of the Year presented by Eller Capital Partners: Zach Ward, DSI Comedy


The WCHL/Chapelboro.com People’s Choice Awards were also announced.  The winners are:
