Chamber and Chapel Hill Magazine Relocation Guide Wins Award
Chapel Hill, NC (July 16, 2018) - The 2018 Visitors and Relocation Guide, a publication of Chapel Hill Magazine in partnership with the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce, has been named an “Award of Excellence” winner in the Communications Excellence awards program presented by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE).
“Our partnership with the Chamber enables our community to have a fantastic, attractive resource for area newcomers and visitors," said Ellen Shannon, Publisher, Chapel Hill Magazine. "The Chamber and the Magazine work together to ensure the best ROI for our guide’s advertisers, and the highest quality, most useful guide to our readers. We are proud to partner with the Chamber on this community resource and honored by ACCE's recognition," added Shannon.
The ACCE annual "Awards for Communications Excellence" is designed to showcase top communications and marketing work of chambers of commerce and similar organizations. Several thousand award entries have been submitted since the launch of the organization’s awards program, which is now in its 34th year. The "Award of Excellence" for the 2018 Visitor and Relocation Guide recognizes the quality and value of the publication in promoting our community’s unique brand. This publication, in print and digital circulation, is used to recruit talent and connect readers to businesses, information, and resources.
“The partnership with Chapel Hill Magazine gives us access to all the best-in-class tools, talent, and practices the Magazine has to offer," said Aaron Nelson, President and CEO, Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce. "The Magazine does an amazing job creating informative and beautiful content that expresses the character and charm of our region, and the publication provides a great opportunity for our members to market themselves to potential new clients and customers,” continued Nelson.
A panel of communications and marketing professionals from five chambers of commerce evaluated entries. With more than 150 entries submitted in 2018, judges recognized 13 entries as Grand Award winners and 41 as Award of Excellence winners. Three Best-in-Show awards will be announced on July 18th at the ACCE Annual Convention in Des Moines, IA.
