Come Play With Us! 

This fun-filled tournament draws approximately 55 two-player teams and more than 80 spectators annually. Bocce players enjoy a round-robin format tournament, refreshments throughout the event in addition to dinner, and awards for tournament winners as well as winners of various contests.

The Community Bocce Derby is a fundraiser for The Chamber's economic and community development work.

A dazzling red carpet event complete with a cocktail reception, awards ceremony, entertainment, the Business Excellence Awards (or BEAs) is when the Chamber Board and staff honor the best in business, including: Best University Born Business, New Business, Micro-Enterprise, Chapel Hill Young Professional (CHYP) Under 40, Mid-size Business, Business Woman of the Year, Large Business, Community Impact, Non-Profit, and Innovation Award.​

About: Born out of graduate student research at UNC-Chapel Hill, this annual event is a comprehensive briefing featuring the latest data on the well-being of Greater Chapel Hill-Carrboro across social, economic, and environmental indicators. Follow the ongoing conversation at #CHCSOTC.

Spend the day on the course!

The Hendrick Golf Classic is an annual fundraiser to support the economic and community development work of the Chamber. Click here to learn more who we are and our mission.

Participants will enjoy a light breakfast; lunch, beverages and snacks on the course; and a after-play dinner provided by the club. Breakfast and registration open at 8:30 a.m., with a 10 a.m. tee time.

Each December, at a meaningful and festive evening event, the Chamber and its Partnership for a Sustainable Community award twelve local heroes. The awardees are first responders and outstanding community volunteers who have demonstrated remarkable, selfless acts of service. The event is free, open to the public, and refreshments are provided.

The awards include: UNC Department of Public Safety Officer of the Year, Carrboro Police Officer of the Year, Carrboro Firefighter of the Year, South Orange Rescue Squad Member of the Year, Chapel Hill Police Officer of the Year, Chapel Hill Firefighter of the Year, Orange County Sheriff Employee of the Year, Orange County Emergency Services Employee of the Year, Jim Gibson Volunteer of the Year, Town and Gown Award, Irene Briggaman Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Citizen of the Year.
